Our Trip begins a scenic flight to Nepaljung and spends one night before taking spectacular flight onwards to Simikot, Nepal's remote Humla District. From here our trek follows the ancient salt trading. The route towards the Nara Langa pass and to the border trade post at Taklakot. We drive overland north past Gurla Mandata mountain to the shores of Lake Manasarovar. From here we drive towards the Guge Kingdom and visit this ancient place of Tibet.

After the excursion of the Guge Kingdom, we drive to Darchen and make 3 days kora of Mt. Kailash. This holy mountain is revered by Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bonpos as the center of the universe. After completing this trek we will drive eastwards by jeeps along the mighty Yarlung Zangpo river and through the vastness of the Tibet Plateau.

Enjoy fantastic mountain views of the Himalayas as we journey south towards the border town of Zangmu to re-enter Nepal at the Friendship Bridge. This exclusive journey is made for travelers in search of a cultural and spiritual odyssey amidst the splendor of the Himalayan mountain range. 

Itinerary

• day1 - Upon arrival transfer to hotel/welcome dinner followed by brief/hotel

  Upon your arrival in Kathmandu (TIA), our Hillstrek representative will pick you up. You will be transferred to the hotel and drive in half an hour with a private vehicle. We will discuss our trip and you have time for refreshments. In the evening we are together again for a welcome dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with a cultural program.

• Day 13 Explore Tirthapuri and Guru Camp
• Day 14 Drive to Tholing Guesthouse/camp
• Day 15 Explore Tholing monastery/Tsaprang Castle. Camp
